Au Coated Printed Circuit Board Current Collectors Using a Pulse Electroplating Method for Fuel Cell Applications

The effect of the Au coated printed circuit board (PCB) as a current collector on performance fuel cells is demonstrated. In this study, optimized pulse electroplating was introduced, which found to be much more effective compared direct (DC) plating for PCB fabrication based passive area from potentiodynamic polarization scan. Variable electrochemical parameters such applied potential and frequency method are controlled. Using tests, corrosion behavior layer also observed. From these basic data, coating methods were systematically controlled achieve efficient results methanol (DMFCs). stability test cell operation indicates that micro DMFC with substrate formed at 10 Hz exhibited highest performance. As result, using 1.5 V 1 kHz can promising portable DMFCs.
